What is the difference between laser grade ZnSe and infrared grade ZnSe?
Laser grade ZnSe is used in high power laser systems requiring low absorption and high damage thresholds;
Infrared grade ZnSe is used in infrared optical systems requiring high transmittance and low scattering.
There are significant differences in manufacturing processes and performance requirements.
What do I need to be aware of when using a ZnSe focus lens?
1. Machine air cooling failure, resulting in overheating of the lens burst, or air cooling is not smooth, there is condensation in the barrel of the lens on the lens caused by bursting.
2. The lens is sticky with the carving object material backspray or liquid, long time uneven heat easily lead to bursting, you need to use cotton swabs dipped in anhydrous alcohol to clean up in time.
3. Dimming the light path hits the junction of the lens edge and barrel and is prone to bursting.
